By now, several of you know that there are sites out there selling stolen work from many artists on DA. The sites in question are:
-
Color Logos
-
Zarra
A list of some of the artists whose work was stolen is in
a journal post from trinity-77.
Both of these sites are part of
Mediaplazza. Contact information for these sites is difficult to come by for the first one but I was able to reliable contact information for the Zarra site. I emailed them and received a response from a Ilham Laaroussi asking me which images were mine specifically. While it's amazing that he seems to believe that the other images are not stolen, I provided him with a list of my images and told him that most of the others (if not all of them) were stolen.
Email Ilham Laaroussi at
i.laaroussi@mediaplazza.com telling him which images are yours (with links) and he claims that they will be taken down. We'll see what happens.
If anyone has more information about a reliable contact for the first site, please don't hesitate to spread the word. The sooner we can get the stolen art taken down the better.
UPDATE
We're making some headway! The images displayed at the Zarra link have been removed. I'm still working on the images at the Color Logos link. That appears to be more difficult. However, I do have more contact information for those looking for others to contact.
I received an email from Marek Nusynowicz, the legal advisor at Mediaplazza informing me that the Zarra images were removed and the provider they got the images from was warned. He also copied Ilham Laaroussi and another person named Jimmy Héritier for an unknown reason. Regardless, here are their emails if you want to contact them:
Marek Nusynowicz, legal advisor -
mnusynowicz@jetmultimedia.fr
Jimmy Héritier -
j.heritier@mediaplazza.com
I'm hoping it's only a matter of time before the rest of the images are removed.
Since these three people seem to be the ones to contact about these images, I recommend anyone who spots their work on these sites to copy all three of them on all correspondence so they all know what's going on.
UPDATE #2
Success! It took far longer than it should have, but all of the images have finally been removed including others' images. The text is still there with links leading to error pages though. I'm trying to get them to take them down too since it makes no sense to have them up there and they refer to stolen work anyway. We'll see how that goes. While it would be nice, I don't think there is a way to get reimbursed for the profits made on the stolen work. It would have been nice but I don't feel like pursuing it. At least the images are taken down though.
If anyone wants to discuss other matters with the Mediaplazza family, Marek Nusynowicz seems to be the go-to guy.
